R.B.,
Thanks. Good to hear from you.
My wife is worried about me & I'm worried about a pile of parts sitting in the repair shop.
Seems every time the medication wears off, I get a little cranky.
I could always buy the bike back & weld a hard tail on back & stretch the forks!
Time for my pill,
Wesley

To paraphrase a signature found on this site, the time to quit is when the fear of death is greater than the thrill of riding.

R.B.,
One of those nice aluminum bags is a goner. Twisted up real good but it helped to protect me & the bike. Gave it's life for the cause. I will miss the Alfred E. Newman. Rat Fink, and risque girlie stickers that added so much class to my rig.
The pill must be kickin' in,
Wesley

I suggest we all chip in and send some "classy" stickers for when you get your new (or old) ride. I'm willing to get you a Moose-warning-sign-sticker. Don't want your new aluminum case to be bare.

Anybody else willing to participate?

Arrow Sorry!

Max - I'm sorry to hear that this Knucklehead kid rear-ended your T100. I'm glad your here to tell us about it. I have had many beautiful machines throughout my life and in my opinion once they get smashed, stolen or abused by others they are goners! They just aren't the same / They are now tainted forever! The only thing that has brought me out of these kind of depressions is a brand new project! You love your 2003 T-100 - I don't blame you. You modded it just the way you wanted it - that is understandable. However, your post seems to question her integrity right now and if I'm right about your feelings for her then it is time to separate and move on. You like the 2003 T-100? Start searching for a stock one with low miles. Once you find your new Bitch you know exactly what you want to do to her to bring her up to speed and class! Before long you will have built another bike and forgotten about your old one and life goes on. I've had them smashed, I have crashed, I have had them stolen, I have started all over, Life moves on and your lucky your with us and still able to ride! Take the money ask them for some of your personal stuff off the bike and start a new project! We're here for you brother!

When you get the insurance settlement, start over with another one. Getting it just the way you want it will be fun and will keep you occupied while you heal, both physically and mentally. If you decide you don't want to ride anymore, you can sell it, pocket the change, and move on to something else you enjoy.

For what it's worth, I'd would think the chances of you having another bike related misfortune is very small now, as long as you continue to ride in a manner that doesn't skew the odds against you.

If you haven't already, you might consider taking some steps to increase your visibility as that seems to have been a factor in both your accidents...brightly colored helmet, riding gear, modulating head and brake lights, etc.

Sorry about your accident. There are allot of inattentive drivers out there, but you already know that.
