Another windscreen thread

I really can't make up my mind on a Windscreen for my T100SE. I've been reading all these threads on various screens, inexpensive, and expensive. Even some fairings. I am an amateur on windscreens. Lots of you guys are "pros" at this topic. I've read that some of the larger windscreens, like the wonderful parabellum, can make the bike unstable at high speeds. I want a bit more protection than a simple flyscreen. Maybe the Dart Marlin would be better for me. I don't mind the wind, but I am looking for something that gives a bit more stability at around 60-70 MPH, and knocks down some wind. My bike becomes a bit shaky at 65 naked. If I ever do some long distance touring, maybe something larger would work, but I want something now, for everyday country riding. Something that smooths things out, and is not affected terribly by cross winds. Suggestions?

this is an infamously personal area, and the solution depends on your size and riding position.

I tried the original Dart ... very good for its size, and then the Dart Marlin ... the perfect compromise for me. Head in reasonably smooth air, upper body protected from windblast, arms relaxed at 70+ mph cruising.
I'm 6ft and ride leaning slightly forward.

I've got the Thruxton windscreen on the Bonneville and a Dart on my Guzzi. Both smooth stuff out on the freeway so that I'm not holding on with a death grip. Keeps the head into smooth air without head bobbing around in turbulence. I have the Triumph screen but the turbulence behind that thing is horrible. It shakes my head up so bad I can't even read the speed limit signs on the freeway, let alone the exit information.

Ok, which Thruxton Screen? Triumph's own? or ?

I have the National Cycle GT Plexifairing and it works great for me. No buffeting on the highway when I duck under it. I even like the way it looks on the bike. It's easy on/easy off with 4 bolts. Price is reasonable too.

That actually is one of the ones I am considering for Long distance touring. I was curious if it blew around (buffeting) at speed.

I had-ish the long haul quick release screen. Buffeting like crazy but got used to it. At 55 mph not tooooo bad, but I just find it hard to go less than 70. I decided to try a Cee-Bailey's screen on the long haul hardware. Vast improvement on protection, but buffeting is not gone. It's different now. The king & queen seat puts me in a higher position so really no tall screen will help. That 22" screen is HUGE. I mean its way up there. I paid for it so I'm gonna use it. Come warmer weather maybe I will try the dart screen. Like others have said, your results may vary.
