Anyone here ever 'track day' the Bonnie?
I bought a NESBA membership when I had my Z1000, but never got around to going to the track. I just got my membership packet and still want to go. I bet the Bonnie would be fun.

I went to a Oran Park (Sydney) ride day earlier this year and there was a bloke there on a Bonnie with m-bars having the time of his life.Scraping pegs around every corner,he was easily keeping up with the slower blokes on sports bikes and had the sweetest sounding bike there.

I went to a track day last fall at a local track and it looked like a blast. There were a couple thruxtons running and even an old Sportster.

I did a track day two months ago. It was the final stage of a riding-skills course. Even with my careful approach to the whole thing, it was really loads and loads of fun. Scraped the pegs a few times - first time really surprised me. Specially in some twisties, just out of "the Killer"-corner, the T100 accelerated quicker that the plastic-rockets. Why? Well, easy when you come out of the turn in 2nd and have loads and loads of torque all the way up to 7000rpms
Have not been to the track again, and doubt that I will have the chance again this year. But, have already decided that I will go there again next year.

I did my first track day about a month ago. Rented an R6 instead of taking the bonnie and glad I did. There was a guy there on a 600cc Ducati Monster and he was getting left in the dust.
But what about this pic of me on the R6. Pretty cool, huh?

PS - You'll have to double click on the photo to see in a decent size. I'm too dumb to figure out how to post a large size given the file size limitation on this board....

I took a level 1 at Texas World Speedway. Good time, but the litre bikes blew by me in the straights, making more work having to pass some of them in the turns again. Other than that, it was a great day. Would have been fun to have a few more Bonnies on the track with me. There was another there, but didn't see it on the track.

I did on my America last year. Thoroughly enjoyed it and improved my riding no end.
Ok it was a Vintage bike weekend and I had the newest bike on the track... but all the same...

Just got back from a track day this weekend. I think the Bonnie would need many mods to get proper clearance. No center stand, rear sets, upswept silencers which pretty much spell Thruxton. A standard would be ok but you'd be on the pegs in no time. There are tons of Bonnies that have been customized here that would have no problem, and I think engine wise they'd be ok. Take a look at Bella Corse site and you'll see the stuff you'd need to track day a Bonnie.
