Black Bubs and HD wrinkle finish...
So I spend part of Saturday glass beading and sanding the chrome off a used bub system. Clean everything really good, so Sunday morning I can use the HD wrinkle finish, and the can does a spit chunks for 3 seconds, then nothing. Of course the dealer is now closed, so I buy regular high heat flat black and go to it. Everything looks good, except the spot where the wrinkle finish paint was (I cleaned it good) it produced the wrinkle finish, in the other paint! So I sand it again, and clean it again and when I paint it it wrinkles again. I should have known better than to use a HD product on Bonny-she is allergic
I have now sanded cleaned and painted for a 3rd time, and have my fingers crossed

Paint is a job. I bet I painted the Kaw tank 4 times. Sanding, Wet sanding, etc. I had the kerosene salamander going at the time because it was cold, tried to bring room to temperature. Still no luck , at the time. Called an old Motorcycle painter buddy of mine. ...Kerosene fumes. Also he told me that the temperature and humidity has to be just right. Probably won't help you any but that was my experience with black Epoxy,Oh yeah , the second time after I thought it was thoroughly dry, used compatible clear kote and the paint went way out in left field again-more sanding. Good Luck-G.

they came out "ok". I am not burning to put them on, as I know it will require a re-jet,its perfect now, and I have some trips coming up, so I dont want to mess with it. I'll see if my brother has some time to walk me thru this picture thing.

Geoff, can't wait to see them. Black pipes usually look great on a Bonnie.
