Any Okies???
Havent seen one in my hometown except one guy who was riding an '05 T100. When I saw him I was on my bike... I got so excited I turned around and chased him down. We talked for a bit but he didn't seem too interested in even his own bike. Said he bought it in '05 new and hadn't ridden it much. I think he said it had less than 1k on it... I've put almost double than that on my bike in the last two months.

I share your sentiments rockin, its so barren of bikes other than Harley's where I'm at, I get excited when I see a Gold Wing. I've yet to see another Triumph up here any Triumph. Rumors abound about guys around here with 60's Triumphs sittin around in their garages. On my trip up to Canada a couple of weeks ago I did run into a Daytona and a Speed Triple (not literally of course).

I am! I was born in Stroud but live in Oregon now. Lots of relatives in OK. At least I did when they were still living.

I remember another Shawnee, OK, member posting a year or so ago unless that was you. I haven't ridden through Shawnee--I usually go South on 99 when heading South. I belong to the RatPack at Performance Cycle in OKC, and I am in the BLHOT (Blimey, Limey, and a Hog or Two) motorcycle club...it meets on the third Tuesday of each month--usually somewhere in the OKC general area. This month's meeting will be at the Smokin Cowgirls BBQ in Jones, OK., at 6 pm on the 21st.

I was born in Shattuck in 1938. Unfortunately, like the Stones' song, "I was born in Oklahoma, but I really don't remember." I'm told we moved to Kansas when I was a year old.
Drove through there once. Not much left of Shattuck. Even less left of Laverne where my father was a newspaper man right out of college. What I most remember about that sojourn was getting a speeding ticket just outside of Liberal. I told the trooper I was leaving Kansas in a few miles. He said, "That's O.K.; mail it in." Being a preacher, I did. Sometimes it might be better to be ..........Nah!

Yup, I'm an Okie. One of the few Tbird wranglers around here. Bonnies et al are pretty rare, but Tbirds are darn near extinct!

Did I see there was a Triumph dealer in Bethany?

jjh: Thanks! I'm really showing my age. I had a tape of it at one time and during one of our many moves I lost a whole box of pop/rock tapes. Thot it was the Stones, but, sometimes the little grey cells..................I should write it down somewhere so I won't screw it up again, but probably would forget where I wrote it.........

You'd probably fit right in...most I have seen have something other than stock...Predators, NH Togas, D&D's, etc. The sewing machine crowd can always ride up front if they can ride--if not then the noise will help em find their way when we lose em.
We have a 2-day ride scheduled for Oct 13 & 14 in NW Arkansas with a sleep-over in Eureka Springs. Send me a pm if you are interested, and I will get you more info.
