Anyone had issue's with the chrome on the sprocket cover?

Just out cleaning up the bike and noticed the chrome on the top of the cover doesn't look right. My son has my camera so can't post a pic. Not rusting but guess description is like tiny spots not on but in the finish. It's smooth to the touch. Tried a chrome polish and made no diff. Bike is less than year old, does warranty cover this or is it up to dealer?

Actually... all warranty work is done at the dealer's discretion. But FYI, I also have an '06 T100 and all my chrome covers are flawless. Must be all that salt in Florida's atmosphere.

Others have posted about having chrome covers replaced under warranty. Probably like many things, at your dealers discretion.

You probably purchased the brother to my bike same year same good looking color probably from the same dealer.

My valve cover had to be replaced because of flaking chrome
and the chrome on the clutch cover has what yours does.
