Sorry if I offended anyone with my bringing a private matter into the public eye. Apparently I did, and I am sorry for that.
I wont do it again.
Also, I come to find out first come does NOT mean first served when it comes to the classified section, so I am finding out all kinds of things I did not know before, and am happy for the education. Yes, I am bitter and slightly hung-over, so now would be a good time for a pile on, before I go for a ride to clear my head of this junk thats floating around in it

I don't know any details about this matter, but when someone has to apologize for making people aware of the fact that you were ripped off in a community that is supposedly as tight as this one something is wrong.

You can bet your a$$ if I got ripped off I'd be letting everyone know. I would hope other's would do the same without regards to consequence.

I can't see any reason to pile on. I'd be bitter too if a member here ripped me off. If someone on this forum rips off another having used the resources of the forum to complete a transaction a heads up is in order. Otherwise it can happen again. Had it been a company that ripped a member off you know that would be posted, and has been, many times.

There are two sides to every story and the other side has yet to respond, and may not. Until then, stay off the booze, it only hurts you, and move on.

If I am off base here someone needs to post the guidelines.

I just wrote to Geoff in pm, but here's a little explanation for everyone:

It's not a good idea to just slam somebody by name on the board. A brief description of the situation, and a request to pm for details would be appropriate, imho.

I'd also like to suggest that you use the classified section for these kinds of transactions.

I have personal opinions about the "community" but this is my take on the situation as a moderator.

I don't see any need for such an apology either Geoff. If it were me, I'd even be more specific as to who it was that affronted me. IMHO you'd only be doing us a gallant favor.

If we can praise the good deals we've experienced, then we should be able to likewise lambaste the bad ones as well. Providing it's factual and not just a personal vendetta.

I don't see any need for an apology either. All I suggested was that people should include some details surrounding the situation. If I sent someone goods, be it boots, jacket or bike parts, trusting there would be payment in full and didn't get either the money or merchandise back, I would be mad as hell.
Although most of us here on this site have never met or even seen a pic of each other, we have developed a bond and trust of each other. I guess sometimes, as in this case it isn't warranted. Really makes you feel like you got a knife in the back.

I considered it a public service, to warn us of a deadbeat, before he can cheat others of us.
