Many of you are probably aware of this site already. I was introduced to it today by my older brother. Very pleasant to pick a year and let the random tunes bring you back to whatever year strikes your fancy. Hope all of you that are into music from 20-30-40-50 years ago enjoy this site. Nothing like hearing Little Richard or Jerry Lee Lewis blast out one of their rockin tunes from the mid 1950s to get your day started.

What's this have to do with bikes? Nuthin! Maybe everything.

Nice Pop music site

Bob

Yeah, good site. The other day I was talking with a 17 year old junior at my school [a bit of a wise ass, I might add]. He was going on about the psychedelic, anti-establishment music of the time. I agreed with him, of course, but related all the really LAME stuff that aired as well: 1910 Fruitgum Company, Harper Valley PTA, The Tighten Up by Archie Bell and the Drells [who not only sing but dance as good as [they] walk].

A lot of these kids learn about that era and think everybody wore headbands and peace symbols. Not exactly the mainstream behaviors - with exceptions, of course, like San Fran. A look at my high school's 1969 yearbook shows more crew cuts and DA's than shoulder length hair.

I'm glad the younger generation has interest in past generations, but misconceptions are a part of the whole thing. The summer of 1963, I am sure we had not one drop of rain because I went swimming in the lake every single day and the sun shone always - or so it seemed!
