just wanted to let y'all know she's alive and well, and now has about 150 miles on her. The only issues so far were a clutch cover oil leak (fixed, new gasket) and another oil leak on the right side. I have not figured out exactly what's causing it, but I think it's either the alternator cover, or a pinhole in the oil line from the cooler to the sump. It's a very very minor leak, only a few drops every minute, in fact after riding on it 3 days I couldn't tell a difference in the oil in the sight glass. Nevertheless, once I figure out what it is I'll fix it. I just wanted to ride the bike a few days first.

I just changed my jetting, I was running thrux needles w/ 1 shim and I think I was a little rich on the needles, so I removed the shim and it seems to be running stronger, mucho stronger. Otherwise, I'm running 42 pilots 1 turn out, and 155 mains. It seems to be just right.

So the bike is running like a scalded ass ape, it wants to lift the front wheel in 1st and 2nd gear, and I just did a "drifting" maneuver around a corner unintentionally while rolling on the throttle. How many of you boys had the rear end slide out on ya in 3rd gear? Yeah baby!!!

I really want some Mikuni Flatslides now, this baby is needing some big carbs! I need some big money first though, as you can imagine my bike fund is depleted...I also think my carbs need to be synched so I ordered a carb tool from newbonneville, I'm tired of using the manometer tube thingy...

It ain't dead yet!

Oh, the ROT biker rally is in town, so every dentist, lawyer, computer guy over 40 is in town on their pristine hogs, drinkin beer and riding without helmets. I can't wait to dust a few of 'em off the line! :-D

I've got a good woman at home who thinks I do no wrong
But sometimes Lord she just ain't always around
And you know that's when I fall I can't help myself at all
And I get whiskey bent and hell bound
Play me some songs about a ramblin' man put a cold one in my hand
Cause you know I love to hear those guitar sounds
Don't you play I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry cause I'll get all balled up inside
And I'll get whiskey bent and hell bound
[ fiddle - steel ]
Sure enough about closing time about stoned out of my mind
And I end up with some honky tonk special I found
Just as sure as the morning sun comes thinking of my sweet girl at home
And I need to get whiskey bent and hell bound
Play me some songs about a ramblin' man put old Jim Beam in my hand
Cause you know I still love to get drunk and hear country sounds
But don't you play Your Cheatin' Heart that'll tear me all apart
I'll get whiskey bent and hell bound
Yeah old Hank's songs always make me feel low down

Cheers!! Yawoo!! :-D
