Or the same but w/o the braided edges? I'm thinking of getting them when i return the ones i just got. These are Willie and Max, and they look pretty nicely made compared to the ones i got. But i'd like to hear from anyone who has them or any similar W&M bags in the $125 and less range and what they think of the quality. These are discounted at around $70-80 at various sites. Not much more than what i paid for what turned out to be junk, so as goos as the pic looks i'm a bit gun-shy.

I have bags very similar to them, but I think in the next size up. There are three sizes and they come in several decorative trims and even in straight, not slanted configuration.

Those are Willie and Max Braided bags. Mine are the Fleetside Braided Slant bags, large. The large cover the shocks and I prefer the look of the medium that do not. But, I tour all the time and the large is perfect for that. They are very nice bags, the hidden quick snap openers behind the buckles are great and I like the fact that they zip off and you can carry them in to the motel room. They have handles. They are faux leather which clean up well and even have locking keys if you want to bother with that. Well made, good bags.

From a different thread I have determined I have exactly the same bags Monte has and concur with everything he said. They are holding up well for me and have even survived heavy rain w/o a problem, contents stayed dry even tho there was no liner bag. A smaller pair would probably look better.

Thanks. Those (Monte's) are the larger version. I'm considering the compact version that is quite small. maybe even too small, i dunno. But i want them to be small so they'll touch as little of the bike as possible and generally be as unobtrusive as possible.Still debating that tho. But i'm not sure if i'll be sorry about that for need of more room. I won't however be touring, just overniters now and then. But in any case thanks for the replies.

I have the W & M large Deluxe Slant Bags , A little big for the right look on a Bonnie.. but I have a lot of gadgets to haul around.
I have had them for three years now and I am very pleased.
I got mine from my Triumph Dealer he matched the price I found on the Internet.. but then I paid full price for the Triumph support rails .. so he made out OK.
