Got my new baby home yesterday. Did some reflector, mirror, and sticker stripping, then some heat shield work. The 40 mile ride home was awesome. I haven't ridden a hand clutch for a long time, and caught myself reaching for the jockey a few times. (lol)
Had her up to 85 mph and she purred like a kitten. Anyway, more mods are in the works, just have to do some ordering from NewBonneville.com. Later.

Thanks Revolt. That's something I did on my Harley a few years ago, and it's real easy to do. Just a palm sander and some high-temp spray paint.

Man, I lived right outside of Portland back in the early 70's. I really dig the Pacific NorthWest. Headin' up to Spokane next month. Unfortunately not on the Scrambler.

Anyway thanks again for the compliment.

Great looking ride! I agree, great choice on the black shields. I think black rims (maybe Excels?) would look killer with those black hubs too.

Black heat shields = perfect look for me. I've wondered what it was about the Scrambler that looked like 'too much'. For me, it was apparently too much chrome on the exhaust system.

I don't often comment on what others do to cosmetically change the appearance of their bikes, since I could take these changes or leave them.

In this case, I think your mod actually improves the image of the Scrambler..... now on an '07 with black cases, it may be a different story............

Good luck w/ the scrambler, pipes look great. Are you going to paint the side panels matching tornado red to give the bike more color? Im thinking about doing mine. Keep in mind to get stickers not from triumph as the base sticker color is black, get clear from a private company.

Enjoy,
dave

Your bike looks tight. I like the solo seat on the scramblers and the black heat shields look tuff.

I've also tried slapping, smacking, buffing, and wiping. Nothing seems to get a Scrambler smile off.

Nice bike.
