What kind of weight limits would there be on the Bonnie for 2 up touring? Any other tips/advice also encouraged.

440 pounds (200 kg) NOT including fluids, but including rider, pillion rider, and all accessories and luggage. Be sure to set your shocks to a stiffer setting and inflate your tires to 36F/40R.

Have fun!

If you 2 are lucky enough to come in at under 440, you can put oil in

Good point, Geoff. The official limits that I posted are probably honored more in the breach than in fact. In fact, I never paid much attention to them. But deco did ask.

Last summer I was 260 and sue was 120. Our clothes, the saddlebags and windscreen and bag supports and the tank bag added enough to bring it to the limit.........................................
So I made Sue ride her own bike. :-D :-D :-D

Seriously, When Sue was riding pillion with me I can't ever remember a time when we packed for any serious trip and did not exceed the so-called "limit." I just set the shocks on full load, put some extra air in the tires and took off. What were they going to do, stop and weigh me?

We all sin, deco. Its the nature of the beast. Never ask me to list all mine unless you've got a year of two to listen.
