hell yeah, let's see some pics.
An 89 huh, that's an evo right? 5 speed? Kicker? I think the first year evo's had kickers, but only the first years. I can't remember when the evo came out. Course if it's a shovel that's cool too.
Right on man, that will complement your bonnie nicely, I'm sure it's a torque monster. You'll have to give us a ride-comparo-contrast w/ the bonnie.
Congrats 'Trim, enjoy your bike and post pics!!!

Hey, Trim ...bikes is bikes. I love them all, HD included. You're such a fanatical Triumph owner, I can only imagine what you'll do to personalize the HD. But I'm sure you already have a wish list of things to do to make it your own, and a better ride.
Good luck ... but don't spend all your time and $$ on the HD. Keep a little set aside for the machine from Blighty.
Bob

While I do not care for Harleys - at all - it is understandable to desire a different brand of bike. I have always wanted a Beemer or Guzzi, older ones, but they are hard to find if you have a low budget. I'd really enjoy have a one-lunger, any type. It would be cool to scoot around town and tinker with on a rainy day. One of this days......
But now you have two bikes: one great and one pretty darn good, kinda, sorta, well in a way........ :-D

Congrats on the new bike! I often wonder if all the Harley bashers out there have ever been on one. There's something irristable about a Harley IMHO. V-twin rumble, old school styling, and a kicked back riding postion - what's not to love? Plus, having a dealership every 1500ft doesn't hurt either. I will definitely own one someday. Maybe all the owners aren't the coolest, but the bikes certainly are.
I'm a little bias I guess - it's the Milwaukee in me.

OH HOW COULD YOU! You are a poser and a R.U.B. ! You are a traitor ! How could you buy such a GARBAGE bike? Don't you know that ANY harley is a piece of *****?***** brakes,***** power, *****,*****,*****!
I can't believe you did that. Next you'll be standing around Harley dealer parking lots eating hot dogs! And you'll be buying Harley brand lip balm! And you won't wave at anyone anymore! And you'll think you're better than anyone else! And...and..... :flam: :cuss: :asb: :assim:

Oh come on you know you're waiting for someone to hollar "YOU BOUGHT A WHAT!!!!!!" I don't want you to be disappointed.
Actually being from Wisconsin how could I be anti-Harley, they're a fine bike and if I ever go to Sturgis it will be with a couple of buddies who own Harley's. Cutting my motorized 2-wheeled teeth on a Yam RD 350 I have an affection for that brand too, but I love my Bonnie. My only kick about a Harley, too loud. Enjoy, be safe.
