After speaking with TBA Golfer today I realized I'd better get off my duff & get some reservations made. I had been planning on calling the Wendover Nugget for months so finally did. Their rates have increased to $55 nightly but in their favor the girl told me their parking garage has camera surveillance! Their toll free #800-848-7300 if interested!
There are less expensive motels but I do like casino's & their meal deals they sometimes have.
I'll probably only be there for Monday & Tuesday but hope to see some of this group there-be nice to put faces to these handles! Have to be great seeing the bikes in the pits & hearing them leave on their runs

I am on it Bill!
Thanks for re-posting. Hope to see a bunch of our crew there. I know that there will be a few of the RATS racing, and I want to experience the flats, have a brewski or two with friends, and lose a few dollars at the Black Jack tables.
Salt Flats Speed Trials
Let's go!

Thanks for the info, this is something that I have wanted to see for a long time so I may try to get out there.
As it get's closer it would be great to see how many Rat's are going and maybe have a chance to meet some fellow members.

I am locked at loaded. Coming in early afternoon on Sunday the 2nd, and leaving mid day on the 4th.
Staying at the Nugget.
Hope to see some RATS on the flats and in the refreshment areas!
(p.s. I am not bringing my golf clubs)
:-D

Scott, Thanks for putting the Salt Flats clicky in your post.
Glad you've got your arrangments made. Nugget-cool!
I'm planning on leaving Sunday & riding Hwy 50 across to Ely, then monday AM an easy 119mi. up to West Wendover then over to Flats. I know of at least one other guy planning on riding along--anyone else in the area is welcome also!
If no others show up to ride, I'll jump in car & buzz over on Interstate 80 & be there Sunday evening Thats what I'm thinking now---
Iceseven, doesn't look to far across there for you on USA map-Look forward to seeing you. Like you, I've read about Sped Week all my life but never been there for any of the events. Figure its time!

I'm leaving Aug 30th and I have the whole next week off. I'll be at the KOA. Long ride from Fort Worth.

I'm hoping the work schedule lets me get there. I think I'll just wear warm clothes and stay one day while passing through to the coast. What is the best day for bikes?
