got my kit last week and attmepted to install them before the rain thursday night. well the rain beat me and i did not finish. it is almost done tho and i should have a test ride on monday.

there has been a lot of talk about the carbs and the kit, for one i have read a lot about the 42's and came to the conclusion they are a great set of carbs. i also talked to everyone i could find who is currently running them and they seem to work great, especially with the future mods i have planned. the price is a big factor. i ended up buying the carbs over the belt drive so i guess that justified it in my mind. the kit comes with a lot of stuff includint a very nice set of billitt grips, there are a lot of little misc. pieces in the kit and also a nice set of billitt manifolds, everything i saw makes it seem a bit more worth it, including the top notch assistance from bill. so far i am very happy with the kit, after i get the fuel lines run and my valves adjusted i will report on how they perform, then i will re dyno the bike.

to be continued.....

i have them on my bike. you will loose alot of the bog when you get the main jet rich enough.I have a stock 790 with predators and the brit custom ing module on mine i ended up going with the 67 niddle in 3rd slot 25 polit and a 160 main that gave a mixture of between 13 and 14 to 1 all the way through. you cant just dump the throttle with these carbs and a stock motor but if you roll the gas on slow look out and hold on.mine makes right at 65 hp at the rear well at 7500 rpm ( THAT IS AS FAST AS THE HD dino guy wanted to take it and it was still going up.they are great carbs and bill knows his stuff.next comes some head work and big bore and maybe a stroker 1200 if wife dont div. me for sending money lol

See my post on pg. 2 of the "which Jap bikes use the same carbs" thread.
I got 65.2 rw HP with 135/42, 3 turns out which was a very lean A/F ratio.
Running better now with a 150 main. Stock Carbs!!
