I can honestly say that I like my Bonnie better than my brother's $23,000 HD Fatboy. I wouldn't sell my bike for $10,000.
Yes, I just got back from a ride

A guy I work with just last week bought a new Honda Goldwing! I think he paid in the $20,000.00 something range. It's a monster to start with and almost not like riding a bike. A nice cruiser I suppose. I'll stick with my Bonnie too.

I think the bonnie is a great value, but there are alot of 'affordable' bikes out there that have great design, build and performance. Don't believe the old farts (I'm one) - THIS is the golden age of motorcycling.
The bikes, training, service, the roads and available information - and we certainly don't lack challenges.

I with you Merlin as a old fart the choice and quality available is staggering and yes the bonnie is worth more almost as much as a Thruxton :-D

I stopped by my local Victory/Polaris dealer today. For roughly the same amount of money I've sunk into my T100, I could be riding a (stock) Victory 8-ball instead.

The way I see it... I could've had twice the cubic inches, but only half the fun. :-)

The 8-ball will be my next bike, but with different wheels and mid controls. They have the slickest bodywork of any bike I`ve looked at lately. :-D The Bonnie will be treated to a "Swedish"massage and relagated to serious back road shenanigans. :-D

Drift, life is good. What about that Harley hankerin' you had?
Unless Triumph hits a big home run with the long-awaited big cruiser, my next bike will be a Victory. Either an 8-Ball or a Vegas.
I test rode an 8-Ball last week instead of waiting 2 hours for a Tiger demo ride. SWEET!

Hey! No more posts with "Bonnies are too inexpensive!"
I imagine the marketing and sales exec's at Triumph Head Office read this site.
(I do agree with you though)

I too dig on the 8 ball. I saw one downtown a few months ago and it had black walls, black straight pipes, some tiny LED tail light, etc. Basically it was all stipped down and blacked out, and looked and sounded mean as hell.
It's funny how big they seem after you get used to the bonnie.

Hey rodburner,
I dig that 8-Ball too. They actually offered me a job there today... as a salesman. I told them to give me an 8-Ball as a sign-on bonus and I'd take the job.
I sure do hope they call me soon.

Victory motorcycles look way too cartoonish for me - this most recent lineup looks like something the Joker from Batman would ride and I just don't think I could take anybody seriously who was riding one. Don't get me wrong - they're a good Minnesota / Wisconsin company and I certainly want to see them swimming in dough - but I don't think anybody could put forth the "badass" image they're trying to portray on a bike that looks so silly.
I do respect them for trying to break the current Harley mold everything's being made in though.
Re: the Bonnevilles, on paper they seem overpriced for what they give you, but in reality they're worth SOOO much more than they cost! Heck, if I spent the same money on other forms of therapy I'd only get a year or two out of it!
