So I'm cruising downtown and this thrux passes me. I'm thinking "nice bike" but not a nod nor acknowledgment from this non-helmet wearing guy. My plate says "triumf". I've got a bonnie black. We're like brothers for the love of pete! Where is the love around here? As we come up to the next light I paid special attention to this horses butt. Too much if you ask me. I had to lock 'em up to avoid running the red light he was stopped at. I turn around and he's got this smarta$$ look on his face like I'm the newbie. Yea... so that was em-bare-assing!

He doesn't deserve to ride a Triumph...Sounds like a HD punk or a Metric Cruiser wearing "Live to Ride, Ride to Live" Bull***** all over his bike...

I look at every bike, going either way, to spot my favorite brand of bike. Its only been lately that I realized that oncoming bikes that may be Bonnie`s or other Triumphs probably just dismis my bike as another squidly UJM. Oh well, back to the old skool I quess.

Surely (shirley) you jest. The entire world knows the makings of "One who we call rodburner"
I look at it this way. If you're riding a bike I'll give the hands down wave as we go in different directions. If I pull up next to you? You get the nod. That is how I'm built. Besides.... I was married to Karma. She was a b!tch!

Jimmy:
Have seen quite a few Bonnies and Thruxs in town the last couple of years and most guys have been pretty good about acknowledging a brother, but there are jerks in every lot...even our own.
Lemme know if you wanna ride sometime. Seems to me more Boise riders on this board as of late, so have even been considering trying to arrange some type of meet up somewhere.

I agree, it's pretty bad when a fellow Triumph rider blows you off.
However, if you want to meet friendly riders you'll have to ride a Harley.....LOL. Seriously, I've found that most of the Harley owners are much more sociable than the Triumph riders I've met. I'm talking about the average Harley rider not the hard ass ones.
My Harley friend and I were out riding today and all but a few of the 100+ Harley riders we passed waved. We saw a few of them when we stopped for lunch. My friend liked a part on one of their bikes. When we went into the restaurant he asked them about it. They wrote down all the info he would need to buy the part and the best place to find it. I've met 5 or 6 Bonneville riders over the past 2 years and only 1 was friendly.

Well,I switched back to "old skool" and the first 6 bikers I passed, completely snubbed me. The 7th was a BMW bagger looking thing, and he dang near broke his arm off, giving not just a finger lift, but a full blown arms high wave. :-D

I'm gonna keep on keeping on. It's how I'm built and I ain't gonna change cause some riders are too cool for school. I'm not one to wave on a corner, from across the highway, or even a last minute sighting. Just when it's safe. and... I won't let them get me down if they don't wave.
Now we could get into the scooter wave but one hot topic at a time.
