Today at the Triumph demo, a Honda dude was looking at my Speedmaster while he was having more chrome installed on his bike.
He asked me, "Are those built-in speakers?"

"Um, no, those are tank pads."

Years ago, when I lived in a first flood apartment in CT, my landlord apparently thought for years that my 6' Magnapan (flat) speakers were space heaters. He finally asked about it because he couldn't figure out why we would need such big heaters given his new furnace. But this beats that 10X!

Kevin- You should have told him they were heat pads, or a knee activated cruise control system.

Fun story!

Yeah, first thing I bought after finally paying off my student loans; second thing was a motorcycle.

You let him off to easy. Should have told him thats not a gas tank but an amp. The gas is in the frame like a Buell.
