What's the difference between a biker and a poser? No punch line. Just curious to hear what some of you wiley veterans think.

Biker likes to ride. Poser likes to be seen.

I will admit I am on the edge of poser, but I don't like to think of myself that way. I do love to ride, and talk about biking. I don't wrench my own bike much, but I am learning. I think that's the biggest difference. Talking to a biker is talking to someone who's torn their bike apart and put it back together better than it was before. Posers have always been around. But now there are a lot, lot more riders every year. Is there any animosity towards new, poser bikers? Just tapping into the general feeling. I am a videographer and there's a documentary in here somewhere.

Posers pretend to be bikers, bikers never pretend to be posers.
