Works great, sensitivity is pretty good, I think, and its certainly easy to use. If you get one, it has batteries already in it. I assumed that because it has a spare battery pack with it, that it didnt have them installed.
WRONG!
that sucker will go off on you when you go to change the batteries! with the alarm part out of the lock you have no way to de-arm it till its installed, and you have 10 seconds to button it up..

I found the carry pouch fits well on the triangle where the passenger foot peg is, nestled in there about 1 inch above the muffler

My concern is how long will it take before I throw the thing in a lake because the alarm goes off when I'm installing or removing it?

I havent experienced that one yet. It is easy to get the key in, and gives a little quiet beep, and then 10 seconds, before it goes off. As soon as the lock pops open it is disarmed, so its ok.
If the alarm part gets on your nerves, or ever goes bad, you still have the functionality of a disk lock
