Today in NE Ohio didn't start off with much promise. Sun early on, then clouds. However, when I stuck my head out the door at 4pm, the temp had come up to at least 60 degree(F), Warm enough that even Bonnie fired up quickly .... so it must have been warm! A little spray wax and some buffing to put some shine into the old gal, and we're off.

I rode a short circuit of perhaps 5-6 miles, headed toward home, then decided to make the same loop again.

Parked the T100, watched a little TV, looked outside again, and decided it was time for another short ride. Temp had jumped up another degree or two. It's now 5pm.

This time, from home in Hudson, Ohio, out to the small canal town of Peninsula, Ohio. Stopped in Fisher's, to talk with a few friends, then rode up the Rt 303 hill toward home. Dropped Bonnie down to 3rd gear and passed a slow mover. Ahhhh .... the TORs were barking nicely!

All in all, a very short day of riding, but it was a start to the '07 riding season. And it was pure pleasure!

There's no message here, no questions, just a couple of small flashbacks about how I'm working my way out of winter into spring here in North East Ohio. Hope the rest of you Ohioians had an equally good day!

Bob

I got to ride my bike at the shop to test out the 904 kit and stuff before the warm weather this week. It was 42 degrees, I had my civilian jacket, no gloves or helmet. Never fel warmer!

It was supposed to rain most of the day yesterday here in STL, so I took the cage to work , but we didn't get a drop until around 10 last night.

Stupid meteorologists.

Stupid me for believing them.

At least I got in a good hour of bike time last night after work. Now we're not supposed to have a decent day until at least Tuesday.

*sigh*

You're right Bob, yesterday started out cold and even icy here in NE Ohio. During the afternoon I was listening to an Akron radio station while I was working in my shop with the heater blasting. I wasn't paying much attention to the radio but I thought I heard them say the temperature was 65. I opened the shop doors and was amazed and delighted to discover that it was warmer out side than in.

I only had time for a quick ride also. I took some of my favorite back roads on a loop through Valley City and Litchfield. The weather was great and the bike was running great. It was the first time in weeks that I could ride without all the heavy winter clothes. It's 66 right now and raining, but it looks like spring is finally getting here.
