I guess I should have been more clear...
one reason not to get that one is $$$.
two, I don't like the "momo design" printed all over it although I think there's a 50% chance I can peal it off, depending on whether they've been clearcoated over the sticker.
And the final reason is I sent an email to them 2 weeks ago requesting information on sizing and where I can see one in Toronto area, and they've ignored me. Now I'm ticked off and don't want to give them my money... petty I know, but service counts!

Doesn't have a shield, but the price is right. Looks very similar to pricey Davida Classic. Has DOT cert.

I got one of the retro 50helmets and it is pretty nice. A tad small on my XL sizing- maybe go 1 size up? The liner seems awful thin but it says DOT approved. Overall OK. I squeeze it on and put my goggles on and GO! I hope it will break in to my head after a few rides-if not I will buy another one larger!
COOLNESS factor is a 10!!

I bought the same HCI50. Went for the silver with black flash. Found it $20 cheaper at $49.95 (+$10 shipping). The absolute fasting shipping I've ever seen. Ordered it on Monday and it came on Wednesday. Look within this thread for the place I bought it from and some instructions if interested.

Regards,

Tom

Cool retro helmet, just ordered the Matt/Silver retro 50 from the helmetsrus link. Always liked the Davida but this is a much better price.

Extra Motorcycle: '99 SV650 (for sale!)
I bought the Retro 50 (figured I couldn't go wrong at $50) as well. Do know that the shell is shaped for round heads- If you've got an oblong noggin like me, it's a tad loose side-to-side and tight front-to-back. Wonder if it'll re-shape if I stick it in a big ol' wood clamp for a week or two...

Gotta agree that it seems awfully thin to meet DOT, but then again I figure it'll see all of its use on mid-summer around-town cruising at 25 mph.

I also considered the MOMO, but the "in your face" logo was just too OTT...
I got this one http://www.agv.com/RANGE/DRAGON/DRAGONGLOSSBLACK.htm from Extremsupply at about $94.
It's a bit noisy with the visor down, but I ride with my sunglasses rather than a visor or goggles anyway.

Looks great and suits the TBA Black. Sweet!
