G'day Everyone,

This may be a dumb question, but I will ask it anyway. Can you fit our bikes with some form or cruise control mechanism?

I always thought the only dumb question was the one you didn't ask. Anyway, there are several cruise control devices that will fit our bikes. They are mostly different types of throttle locks that may or may not be tied into the front brake lever. I tried a few different brands and I like the one from BrakeAway.

Hey Rich,

Thankyou very much for that, I will look into it and let you know what I get, but that certainly looks like a good one, neat looking and safe operation.

Personally I like the Throttle Rocker. Simple. Fool proof and definitely helpful on longer trips. Used one on all my bikes for years. It is not a true cruise control, but it won't ever hang up when you want to shut down the throttle either. And you don't have to constantly muck with getting the setting just right. For $10 what's not to like?

You sound like a Preacher/Reverend who has fully embraced a spirit of Judeo-Christian ecumenticalism:

"For $10 what's not to like?"

Gotta love it!

Clintd01: A Vistacruise can be easily adapted to a Bonnie for about $25. Email me at tkeith40@cox.net, and I'll send you photos and instructions. tommyturbo2

Ah, too many years living in DC and NYC. Never have given in to giving up some of my favorite speech patterns. inter-faith or otherwise. I still stand "on line" not "in line." Go figure.

Besides, I am slightly stir crazy having just dug out of 10" of snow, 1" of ice covered with another 2" of snow. UGH! Haven't been able to get the bikes out of the garage since January 11. Bah! Humbug!

Monte,

Good to see a post from you--I was afraid your fingers were frozen from all that cold Wx brought on by Global Warming. :-D It's supposed to get down to 9 degrees here tonight, but relief is in sight for next week--supposed to be in the lower 60's. :-D
