Paid $300 years ago has not run in quite awhile. I must have stored her right because she is up and running 550cc 6 speed just dyno'd 68 hp keeps up with the bonnie

Day 1 start

after lotsa carb work, new tires, blinkers,grips, mirrors powdercoated exhaust, fender brace, chain gaurd it is finally street worthy. Now to cafe it

Still looking for shocks front and rear, black and gold chain, seat upholstery shop and painter..

I am lookig fora low cost older honda with the same ends in mind. I was just wondering how old of a jap bike ould be "sinful" to modify. I am not sure a could come o terms with cutting up anything from the 50's or before...just me though

gs suzuki's are well known to be running tight with up to 100k on the odometer before problems. They cost much less than old honda cb's. E models are pretty sporty. The 550 is at about bonnie as far as engine performance. Suspension is a little behind on L models e models a little better. Gs1000 have a cult following and have the 1 liter sport bike engine nice upright seating just a nice standart bike. I trying to decide on a new bike for myself a v-strom or to restore a yosh replica gs1000
