Extra Motorcycle: dya mean the one outside?
Hi folks,
A bit of a request here, if that's okay. It looks like I'm going to be having a bit of non-riding down time for a few weeks due to having to have an operation to fix my left knee (I had the right one fixed after taking a three floor drop onto concrete whilst erecting a roof frame a year or so back – turns out I also did my left one in too, just the damage is only now making itself evident) and I'll likely be housebound and bored for the duration.
Anyway, I was hoping to make the Twin Mod Links page more usable and I thought I'd spend a little time on it. I was wondering if any of you guys had any thoughts on how I could make it better, in terms of layout and/or content. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Meanwhile, many many thanks to all who've given their help so far and to all those ingenious folks who've come up with the mods – you know who you are.
Here's a link to the Triumph Twin Mod Links Page.

Cheers,
k

Make 'em all PDF files. They would be easier to follow, like a BPD or a SOP, and would be printable.

keef,

Wishing you the best on the surgery, may the new knee be whistle slick -
You've done a wonderful compilation with the mods wiki page, and I don't think I've ever said thanks - so - thank you keef for a great resource!

As far as functionality, already works great, IMO -
just went there to enjoy it yet again, and
I like the way it's organized - and titled! (whiz - bang - etc) - and
easily navigable - doesn't need a bunch of bells & whistles, easy to read...
not sure how I'd improve it, other that what Fraedrichs suggested, to
have the option to either enjoy it on the directly on the wiki or downloadable as a pdf...

Again, thanks for a great resource!

Cheers,

D9

I vote no pdf.My pc opens them in some unknown locations and plays with them while I`m at work.
Keef, thanks for all the time you devote to "your" WIKI site. I didn`t even know it was there until I saw a link to it in a post a couple days ago.
Best of luck with your knee[s] too.
Steve

Keef - Sure sorry to hear about your knee(s); hope you can eventually recover from that.

I just discovered your neat collection of links to good past posts, and I have to add my voice to what should be a chorus of praise for your efforts. What a great contribution that torque specs thing is, for one. Thanks!

Keef - I'm ok with your format as-is. Regarding printing, if I need to take a hard copy to the garage, I copy and paste the section(s) I need into a Word file, then print it out.
Nice job, BTW.

Bob

Having a option to print something out may be nice. One could sit at his/her desk and read the given thread to become familiar with said mod. Or have the option of printing a simple file and taking it to the garage, perhaps creating a folder of mods if you will for the garage strictly.

Maybe a simple text file would be more desireable rather than a .pdf

Would take up less site space, and wouldnt need a special program to read said files.

You've done a great job with the resource, very informative, well structured...bobs your uncle :-)

Good luck with your surgery man.

Thanks Keef, and best wishes with the knee surgery.

I am anti-PDF.
