I've finally taken some photos of my '03 T100 with a Triumph "68" Solo Seat installed. Its a great fit and much more comfortable than the stocker. It seems to be wider, flatter, and more supportive. I painted the embossed "Triumph" with gold enamel. I'm thinking of having the dual seat re-done, either with white piping or in a "small squares" touring seat format. Time (and my bank account...) will determine which I go with. Anyhow...a couple of angles with the new seat are below:

They're pretty nice. I like to be in a more athletic position when I ride and the N-H items answer the mail quite well on that count. They look pretty stock with the rubber rests and they're comfortable to boot. I have a review posted entitled "Norman Hyde Rearsets over there on the left if you're interested in an in-depth critique. Thanks for your comments...

Hey Sheepdog,

What kind of enamel did you use to paint the seat logo? Any special tips for doing this?
I love the look of it-very vintagey.

bonniegreen, I did the same thing to mine about a year ago, and it's still holding up well.

Here's the result:

Wow Sweat,

That is an inspiring bit of custom work! I'm off to the hobby store tomorrow.

Thanks for the info!

Sweat did a great job on his seat painting. I'm afraid that mine is more pedestrian...I just painted it with Testor's gold enamel (model paint) and a fine paint brush. If you do it my way, be sure to shake up the paint every so often or it settles...

haha, you guys give me too much credit. All I did was color in the lines, the 2 colors really set it off though.

All in all I think it took about 30 minutes. I'm still surprised how well it's held up.
