Good for you guys! It is a strange feeling for us folks here in the North East to be out (and comfortable) this late in the riding season. Hope you have afew more days just like the ones you experienced.
Bob

Way to go! I just wrote to 4Triumph (he's just west of u guys in upstate NY) about these Indian Summer riding days we've had. Gotta love it. We are getting that storm front out of the Ohio Valley (U R 2). No snow for the Blue Ridge Mountains as it was 68 degrees at 6:00am!!!! High winds and rain and by Monday we will be in the 20's for morning lows. I guess Ol Man Winter is back at work.
You don" need no stinkin snow mobile!
Ride safe, watch for the black ice!

Well, here it is December 4th, and if the weather pattern did to Bennington what it did to Chicago, that nice warm spell you enjoyed and posted about is LONG gone!
Take heart, Spring is closer than you think!
Tell me bonniegirl, is the Vermont Steakhouse still in operation? Is the Little Blue Diner still serving those alfalfa sprout, tomatoe and avacado omelets? (Believe me, they're delicious!) Is the family owned Bennington Motel still there a couple of doors down from the "Grandma Moses Museum? Do you take advantage of the beautiful roads through the Green Mountains, and get over to the Mohawk trail often? (I'm sure you do!)
It's been awhile since my wife and I have made a trip to the east, but Bennigton is one of our favorite places! We still tell people that the Vermont Steakhouse is our FAVORITE restaurant!

oldtimebiker...answers for you:
the steakhouse closed some years ago, it's a restaurant called peppermills now. good, but not the same.
the blueben is still in full operation and serving all the same things. still with a huge line to get in on the weekends.
i'm not sure about the motel, there was a fire 10ish years ago and i'm not sure if the same family renovated, or if it was sold, but it's still there. by the way, my father went to school in the grandma moses schoolhouse museum when he was a little kid & his sister (my aunt) is married to grandma moses great grandson.
i haven't been over the trail yet on my bike. i tend to go north. i picked my bike up in late may this year...4000 miles since though.
