Hi Everyone, I'm Farron out of Nashville TN. (actually White House) and I took the MSF course in August (1st time on a bike) and bought the red/black T100 three weeks later. I noticed the Triumph's at a local store but I continued to look at every bike under the sun but keep coming back to the Triumph. The store didn't have any Bonnie's until my 3rd pass. Walked in, saw the T100 and heard the angels singing. Feel in love and haven't stopped grinning yet. Old and young have approached asking what it was and I even had a nod or two from the Harley dudes. I'm already looking at doing some mods; fly screen, engine guards, and exhausts. This forum has already helped me quiet a bit and look forward to hooking up with some of you on some rides...I"ll post a pic when I figure this out... never been in a chat room before

Farron, congratulations and welcome. You'll love the bike and you'll learn a lot here. For example, did you know red & black is the fastest color? :-D
Ride safe.

Hey, Farron:
I'm a neighbor!! Well, almost. I live in Greenbrier.
I saw a red & black T-100 up the street from my house the other day (Franklin Farms)
Was that you? Lets get together and look 'em over.
You'll want to check mine out, I've done a lot of mods to it.
P.M. me and I'll give you phone numbers.
Watch out for them stoopid deer.
David

Farron, very good choice. It is true that they call to you. Every time I go out to the garage or see one on the road, they just look right. I am deciding on another bike (ST/Tiger) but the Bonneville's set the standard on appeal and pure fun for the money.
You will love her more and more each mile you ride her.
Enjoy!

Welcome aboard! Nice choice for your first ride. I've been thru a bunch of bikes both larger and smaller, with more power or less power, makes no difference, my T100 is at the top of my all-time favorites list. You just don't outgrow these bikes.

I crashed my old Honda CB450 over 20 years ago, and decided, with a one-year-old daughter, that I'd better give it up for a while. A couple years ago, daughter grown up, I decided to get back into it.
My friend and riding buddy, who has had all kinds of bikes, kept on trying to convince me to look at Yamahas, Hondas, Suzukis, etc and none of them appealed to me. They didn't look like motorcycles. I'm giving away my (middle) age here. BTW, he now rides a Ducati Monster.
We were in one of the multi-brand dealers one day when I saw the Bonnevilles in the Triumph corner, and I knew immediately that my search was over, it was just a matter of working out the details.
It was love at first sight, and nearly two years later, I still really like this motorcycle, and so apparently do many of the people who see it on the street. The most common refrain is "I used to have one of those (in 1970)". Even my girlfriend, no fan of motorcycles, admits its a handsome bike.
I agree that the red/black is a very nice-looking color scheme. I saw one of them ride by in Annapolis a few weeks ago. Many happy rides to you!
