I have a 2 wire custom tail light, where do I ground it?

Ok how do you wire it, I'm going to cut the wires coming out of the stock tail light and then what?

thanks!

One of the wires will be running light, which goes to the "low" side of the double filiment bulb. The other will be brake lite. Acertain which is which with a meter, or a test lite. I can only assume that the body of the light will be grounded when bolted to the fender, since a ground was not provided. However, if it wont lite up, you may have to run your own ground wire from a mounting bolt on the lites body, to a good ground, or the negative side of the battery, if a good ground cant be found

Machine, the blue wire is the brake and the red is the tailight. The light body should ground to the fender, but might not,due to the rubber mounts. Just use one of the 3 black wires in the loom to ground the light body.

You can also just have a wire from ground (any frame screw/bolt) to a ring crimp under the lite mounting nut.
