Recently I noticed that Brent delivers all his invoices with 3
holes punched in the side. Being the type of guy that
appreciates such thoughtfulness, I mentioned it to my wife
who in turn surprised me with a little gift - A three ring
binder to keep all my motorbike related invoices, work
orders and receipts organized (and a 3 hole punch for the
others).

Since I have kept every slip of paper related to my bike
since getting my Triumph, I thought it would be fun to add
up everything I have purchased from NewBonnie,
BellaCorse, the Dealership, etc..

Whaaaaa????? Yikes!!!

If you can't resist doing this either, I suggest you not tally
things up sitting at the kitchen table, but do it in the privacy
of your garage instead. Then, HIDE THAT BINDER!

This is all Brent's fault.

You think that's bad? I have like $3000 (At least!) in my project XS650 and I haven't even touched that thing in a month!

At least you can ride the bonnie...

This thoughtful gift from your wife is a very sly move on her part. It's her way of saying your spending too much on your bike. I say burn the invoices and forget you even bought it. " Why dear, Those mufflers came on the bike" Don't you remember"

My wife's just as thoughtful... "Now that I have my bike..." (Her Rebel) "... there's all kinds of things you can get me for Christmas... Engine guards, auxilary lights, sissy bar, grips, tassles...You won't any reason not to know what to get me!"

I once tallied up all the money I have invested in things that attach off the forks alone, and was so distressed with the sum that I couldn't continue toward the back of the bike. :-D

I only paid $2800.00 for my 1969 Daytona, and it was in fair shape, but i bet I spent at least that much more over 4 years in NOS ebay parts, rebuild parts, etc.
And it could use paint/powder coating....

BUT, I have got loads of fun out of it, as well as at least 15,000 miles of fun street and dirt riding...

Hey, I dont have a house at the beach, a big screen TV, or a boat, so....

Brett

I added mine up a while back!!! :wow:

I'll just say that my bike would be paid off long ago without all the mods.....

I think next time around, I'll finance the majority of the modifications along with the bike. This stack of receipts is toooooo big!
