Came across these pictures of three bikes I restored 4 or 5 years ago, thought you might get a kick out of them.

Great XS's!

I'm doing one too, although it's a hardtail.

Some of the best bikes ever built.

I'm looking to get my hands on one. Two of my friends each have one that they've punk-rocked out. I wanna play too!

Ok I can't resist. How's this for punk'd out?

Here's mine:

Still a work in progress, and yes XS650s are great bikes. This thing weighs about 250 pounds soaking wet!

Looks good, now you've just gotta find the time to do it up! What color ya thinking? I think it needs something bright! Hope ya don't have to ride it too far, or your roads down there better then up in the north? Is that a Yamarley?

By the way, all joking aside, those are absolutly great twins. As good as any triumph IMO. Mine was a very rare '72 factory chopper that was made in ultra limited quantities. Looked like a one off done by an owner..........very long forks, custom low seat, big ol' sissy bar, custom paint. I woulda rather had a stock one, but i did like that bike none the less. I did see one other but that and mine are the only 2 i ever saw. But i just loved that engine. I gotta say, it was probably a better engine than my speedy in most regards.........no where near the engine noise, more power per cc, valves that could be adjusted in a few minutes, and just a really great feel to it. If yamaha made a sort of hot rod version like the speedy today i'd actually consider it over the triumph. What a great bike. Maybe the best 4 stroke parallel twin ever made.
