Has anyone tried these? If so, what say ye? My dealer doesn't carry them so I'd have to buy them mail order. Triumph of course offers no decent photos or description of the boots in their catalog. (Has it occured to them that actually offering decent photos and descriptions of products might actually help sales of said products??)

I like the looks of the boot, but I've had mixed experiences with Triumph leather stuff. Leather Panniers? SUCK. Leather jackets? Eggselent.

Fabric bags are very nice!! I have the boots and can attest to thier quality. A little warm over 70 degrees. I also have vented AlpineStar race boots for summer.

Take a look at the Triumph Expeditions (if you can find a good photo that is )

I bought them over a year ago to replace a great pair of BMW touring boots. I wanted waterproof. I asked my dealer about ordering what I thought was my size--sure, no problem, but a 20% restocking fee if they weren't the right size. A week later, I was in Cleveland and went to Akron Cleveland Honda-Triumph. They had everything. I tried on Diadoras, Sidis, and the Triumph, and got the latter. They are extremely well made (Italian quality equal to the BMWs), extremely comfortable on and off the bike, and surprisingly, comfortable even when the temps hit 90F. I wear them with merino wool ski socks in the late fall and early spring, and they are plenty warm then.

I agree that Triumph would do well to post better photos on the website and to encourage dealers to carry the stuff.

Triumph would do well to improve their entire web site.

Take a look at the HD site.

Sometimes I think Triumph doesn't want you to see anything too closely.

Triumph Leathers/Riding Gear isn't too different from other common brands in that quality and desirability change from year to year. Some items may not wear well, others will last longer than you'll want to use them.

I'll check out the Expeditions too. Thanks for the suggestions.

BonnieSaltRat,

I tried on the Triumph highway boots and didn't buy them. They looked awesome, very high quality boots. I used to lift weights a lot, my calves are big because of this and if I get the size boot where my calves fit, the foot is swimming. If I get the size to fit the foot, the calf will not fit. If the Triumph boot had a larger calf diameter I would have bought them. I did find a pair of HD Boots that not only fit awesome, but they look good too. I saw them at the HD dealership on 30th. South State St..

Thanks Robert. Did Accolade have the Highway boots? Last time I was in there, they didn't. And speaking of Accolade, what's been your experience with their service department?

They did have the Highway boots the last few times I visited, they also had a few other Triumph boots, not sure about the Expeditions though.
As far as experience with their service department goes, it has been fine. After my 500 mile service they gave me a nice recap of the service, including that they adjusted the throttle as they felt it too tight, and they stated that they could easily get it to stick. It had stuck on me once, but I honestly didn't think much of it at the time as it was only for a split second. I did have to wait almost three weeks to have my 500 mile service though; they ran out of oil and had to wait for a shipment from Triumph, at least that was what they told me. I do feel confident that any service I have done there will be done proficiently. The service manager rides/races a Daytona 675, and he really seems to like Triumph over the BMWs, so I think we should have decent service when and if we do visit their service folks. The dealership does seem very focused on bikes, not enough on Triumph accessories or clothing though, that has been my only complaint.
