Well, I'm back from what I've begun to call my Time/Life tour of California--

You know how with those CD collections they produce somehow a single Patsy Cline song is meant to represent an entire year? That's what my experience was for the past ten days...each day I asked a single road to represent an entire region of California. But it was, in a word, glorious.

Not a single problem with the Bonnie--she could have kept going each day long after my arse asked me to stop. If I learned one thing, it is that I need more than an Alaska Leather toupee on my seat to assuage my aching bum.

So over 2000 miles later, I've learned more about my bike and more about my adopted state--couldn't have been a better way to learn!

Sounds like it was a great trip. Remember, "What I did on my summer vacation," essay is required writing on the first day back to school.

Congratulations!!

I believe you really experienced the road travellled and didn't
suffer from white line fever.

I would enjoy riding with you.
