I've been having luck with softening the rear, and dropping about 5lbs of air pressure out of the tires when I know I am going to hit gravel trails and such, Improves handling, like the old enduro days

I actually like the rear suspension for on-road when cranked to second highest preload, I am 5' 10" 172lbs, the pogo-ing dissapeared
The front springs still stink though

it's easy to put air back in tires with mini pump :-D

I carry a small air pump at all times that just hooks on to the battery leads. Maybe I'll try what you said the next time I drive to some dirt roads and lower the pressure to see what difference it makes.

I weigh 140 lbs but I have two 40 liter hard bags with stuff in them and saw a big improvement putting my shocks to a medium setting rather than the firmest setting.
