Ordered a Ventura luggage rack, grab rail and bag (44-60ltr) from Ducati Noosa Australia on the 18th of July, paid deposit. Arrived 20th July.($400 about $300 US). Could not believe how quick it was delivered. Fitted perfectly. Good strong unit.

jennygrima,

The Ventura looks nice for certain applications. What I mean is if you are carrying a light load, I like the concept. But if you get into a load of 30 lbs on up, I'd rather have side bags.

I put 50 lbs of stuff and strapped it to my back seat. The weight was noticeable in city traffic. When I take that same weight and put it in side bags with a lower CofG, there is a big difference in ease of slow speed handling.

I know what you mean black-bonnie, it's mean't for carrying clothes not 30 can cartons of beer. Was in Thailand in April this year, they had leather saddle bags for $150 aussie, will grab them next trip. My rack and bag came from New Zealand.

I fitted the chrome sports rack (ventura) to mine and found it real useful for trips to work and back.Even carried a roll of chicken wire 50km down the highway on it,got some real strange looks!
The only problem is its butt ugly, have fitted the grab rail which is only a tad less ugly but stops the girlfriend sliding off the back and there is only 2 screws to undo to replace the rack.

jennygrima,

You brought back a lot of memories by saying you were in Thailand. Been there many times and love that country. That must of been fun buying the leather bags from the wonderful sales people there who are always bartering the price. Gotta love it.

amanger,

It is amazing what you can fit on a bike. When I was in Korea, it looked like they could put the load of a pickup truck on their bike. I admired their ingenuity and skill of riding with those loads.
