So as you may know Jesse James and Sandra Bullock are married. As you may not know she owns a house (or 2) in Austin, TX. The girlfriend and I were eating at Chuy's on Barton Springs (a popular Mexican rest. AWESOME!) and ol' Jesse walked right past me. I did a double take of course, and the little lady struck up a conversation with Sandra.

I didn't bother him because he was eating with his kids. Let me say, the guy is HUGE! I've seen his shows and all that, but he is way bigger in person, I swear he could be a professional linebacker.

Anyway, it was cool.

Saw James drive in a figure eight race at the local speedway a few weeks ago. He had a very fast car, drove a ballsy race, and showed the sceptics like me that he is not just TV hype.

I think he's the pick of the litter for TV chopper guys. He was doing his thing before the spotlight shone on him and he'll be doing once it fades. The guys got some fantastic metal working skills.

If its the same Chuy's they are a pretty big chain of restaurants.

Jesse James has done some good things for the troops as well. The show where he went over to Iraq on his own dime was a good one, even if it wasnt motorcycle related.

Although I don't like choppers on the most part, I do appreciate the skill and hard work of Jesse James.

I just wish one of those chopper bike builders would set an example to their admirers and wear good protective gear. Tell them that you can be a bad a$$ and safe a$$ at the same time and be proud of it.

Even more disturbing to me is the cutting and grinding with ZERO eye protection and welding without a shield or goggles. We ain`t Vulcan`s people. We don`t have hereditary second eyelids to protect us. You can ride deaf but not blind.

He's the real deal. I saw or read somewhere someone asked him "What will you do when the chopper fad is over?"

and he responded "I'll go back to building motorcycles."

I also read he wants to teach high school shop. How cool would that be?
