If someone owns the Blindsight Mirrors, I was wondering what the visibility is like through the 2" mirrors. Do you get a lot of vibration?

Also, were you able to clamp them onto 1" diameter bars? I can't use the internal mounting because I have M-Bars with plugs. Thx

I'd have to agree with that. I recently swapped my Napleons for the 3" Lanesplitter CRGs. I liked the Napleons but the vibration made everything a big blur at speed or under acceleration. The CRGs are virtually vibe free. I like 'em a lot but I wouldn't want them smaller.

As far as mounting, I also have the m-bars with treaded plugs (to accept the stock bar end cap). I enlarged the threaded hole and re-tapped to accept the 6mm (I think) fastener that came with the CRGs. I also had to remove a portion of the bar end adapter that came with the CRGs (from newbonneville.com). I used a bench grinder for that.

I have the 3' CRG's on my S3. The convex glass give super range of visibility, but the image is kinda small. I much prefer the view on the Napoleons on my America, they have flat glass. I also Have the M bars with plugs and drilled them and tapped to 6mm x 1.00 and bolted them in. There is no vibration.

Could you please clarify what retapping means? I am guessing you mean drilling and then rethreading to accept 6mm allen screws. What tool do you use to rethread and how do get the thread size correct? Thanks again!

You got it. Go to a hardware store and buy a 6mm tap (thread cutting tool). It is just a simple thing that kinda looks like a bolt with verticle slots up the sides. Information with the tap will tell you the correct size drill to use. Often individual taps are sold packaged with the correct size drill bit (Sears does this). You'll also want to have a little machine oil on hand to lubricate the tool as you cut the new threads. It's an easy process - will just take a few minutes.

i've got the 3" CRG's as well. i must say that i'm impressed with the total lack of vibratory distortion. i've seen the smaller ones and can't say that i'd want my range of vision to be any less than what i can see from what i have. it's stable but it's small.
