First Post. how many current or ex Harley riders do we have. I rode Sportsters for 15 years and I must say my '04 T100 is by far abetter ride. II rode 883's and 1200's and with the mods I have on my T100 I feel I could give the 1200's a run no problem. had an Electra glide as well. Very nice ride if you like to tour but not much fun for the back roads of PA where I am from. i am only 12 miles from the Harley factory in York, PA and this is predominately Harley Country BUT I have never had so many people ask about my bike as I do with the Bonnie. It has a lot of work done to it though. PLooks just like a '69., paint and all. i will post pics soon. Just a thought.....

I had a '91 993 Sportster -- traded it in for a '92 Heritage Softail. Had to sell that one in '93 to help purchase a house (no complaints)

I purchased an '05 TBA last November and just purchased an '06 Moto Guzzi Breva. Keeping both.

CA real estate has been good to me.

I used to have an 89 883, mildly breathed on. Really fun bike but my 03 Bonnie blows it away. Come to think of it, my 78 Bonnie which I owned during the same time-frame as the Sporty, blew it away as well. Sporty's are cool bikes though. I wish I still had the old girl. Would be cool having two iconic bikes sharing space in the same garage again.

"EX" Harley rider?

I'll still ride one if you put it in front of me! I'd still own one.... and a Beemer, Yamaha, Duc', Honda, Guzzi, Vespa......

Am I an 'ex' rider?

I don't THINK SO!

I like bikes, none better than the one on which you're enjoying life at the time.

Sitting next to my T100 is a '91 FXRS sp. It is a great bike, sort of the flagship of my small fleet. It's been a bit neglected since I got my T100, being used now for 2 up trips, and big group rides only. The T100 is my daily ride. I always reply to those that ask about it that it is the best handling, smoothest running bike I have ever had, and I don't lie. I'm the only rider to ever ride a Triumph to a HOG meeting or function, and all I ever heard were compliments!
I'm a motorcycle guy, the only brand I shun is Honda. I don't put down their product, it's well made. But I wouldn't own one because their corporate policy towards racers has always been exploitive, cold and inhuman compared to the other factories. It's not as bad as it used to be, but I'm holding a grudge on this one.

FattRat,

Where do you fit all your bikes? How do you decide which one to ride? Is the Guzzi dependable? The Guzzi sure has a look I like as with the bonnie.

Even if I had the room, I can't logically convince myself why I should have two bikes. I'm not saying it is wrong at all, but if I'm happy with what I have, I see no reason to get another. But I realize too it is nice to have a choice.

I've said it before, I have both and could not choose one over the other. My 1200cc Sportster Custom is a blast to ride and the bottom end torque is especially enjoyable.

That said I must admit that I really enjoy the attention the Bonneville gets from people of all ages, especially those that were around in the mid 1960's. 95% have no idea that Triumph is back in business.

The last Harley I had was a 2001 FXDXT.
I really liked the bike, but not as well as the 2004 Speed master I have now.
The thing I really liked about the Harley's I had is that I could sell them for at least what I paid for them.
Not so with the Triumph

black-bonnie,
I don't HAVE all those bikes.....
over the last 36+ years, I've HAD all those bikes. The one I put the least mileage on was the Sprint RS I had over a year ago. I only put 10,000 miles on it before doing a self-intervention and getting rid of it before it got me busted. All the others I seem to average about 25,000 miles a year on.

I currently have three motorcycles, an '05 BonnieBlack in parts scattered between the living room & dining room, another '05 BonnieBlack that I've managed to enjoy now for 20,000 miles, and a recent addition just this last Friday night. It's an '03 FZ1 for which I was given brand new Krauser hard bags and an assortment of goodies I woulda bought myself if they weren't already thrown in.

And then you might ask why I have three bikes...... well, because I can't have four! :-D Suffice it to say that I'm loyal to no brand, I'm "loyal" only to motorcycling (forever!).
