Lord, thunderin' Jaysus but those Moto GP boys have brass ones.

Did anyone else catch the action through the switchback and then hard right hander through decreasing elevation? I think its called the "corkscrew".

I had butterflies in my stomach and I was sitting on the sofa! Almost can't even imagine what that would be like in real life. Most amazing section of track I've ever seen....

Whaddya think?

Heck, I get that woozy stomach feeling from doing that barrel-roll turn on the Gran Turismo 4 simulator! Can't imagine doing it for real at those speeds.

Yeah Pete! My wife and I kept kept gasping everytime they showed it. It looked like there was no way anyone could make a diving turn at those speeds without wrecking. The wobbling in the transition didn't look like it was helping matters either! Amazing riding.

I watched that DVD, Faster about GP riders. It said that car racing is 80% car and 20% driver. But Moto GP is 80% rider.

Too bad it is not popular in this country. Those GP racers have talent galore. Not to mention....

We were sitting near the top of the corkscrew, you can hear them get off the trottle just as they hit the top of the hill and start downshifting, it is amazing how hard they hit that turn...
those guys are living in a diffrent world...

That's an awesome turn in a car or a bike. I'd love to see it in person some time. Old Hayden rules that course! Rossi's inablity to come to grips with that particular course makes me think he may just NOT cut it in F1 next year. Those boys get little practice time to adapt to new courses, you learn on the fly or stay at the back of the pack.
Nicky was also a very gracious winner, that made me smile. Valentino is so darn cocky (what, 7 world champ titles?). I'd sort of love to see him fail miserably in F1 next year.

Laguna Seca is one of my favorite tracks when I race simulation either bikes or cars... but I think I've only managed to make that turn once or twice out of the hundreds of times I've attempted it... and that was hopping the car sideways! It comes up so quick even with the corner markers that you always think you can push it just a little harder... and push is exactly what you get when you try to muscle that much centrifugal force around that turn!

we were there last weekend and it was fun;

i used to do track days at laguna; very fun but demanding track; i raced at willow springs but had way more fun at laguna

if you ever get a chance to do a track day, do it.

Rossi is staying with Yamaha for 2007 - no F1.
