question, I've heard from several sources that the xenon bulbs that are blue or other colors are trash compared to clear xenon bulbs. Why is that so, and how much difference does it make?

I'm just a little frustrated since I already got a pair (blue) from newbonneville before hearing about it...tim

I have tried cheap blue xenon bulbs (not the ones sold by NewBonneville) but didn't find much difference in brightness, just the tint of the light was different. I changed to PIAA xenon bulbs which I have been using for a couple years now in the Bonnie and S4 and although they are expensive they really do work. The Bonnie bulb has a blue tint and the S4 has a purple tint to the bulb but the light itself is an intense white.

$20 a pair vs. $60 a pair. You really do get what you pay for. Like I always say; Remember... everything in life is a compromise.

I should mention that I too bought a cheap pair and now I don't want to even bother installing one of them.

Would any like to offer me $30 (shipping included) for the pair? That's about what I paid (with shipping and sales tax).

Do I hear $20?

I have just been through the process of replacing my headlamp insert.

In the course of my research to find a suitable replacement, I came across a warning about UV cut H4 globes being fitted to plastic lensed headlamp systems. Basically the type of globe needed to be suitable for plastic lensed systems as damage could occur due to heat build up. The following link refers:
