Though expensive (inordinately so!), it may well be the best looking thing to hang off a Bonnie. One would be fooling themselves if they thought it was meant for touring, but very handsome, very handy indeed. More interestingly still, I wonder what the hardware is that it's mounted to, and if it can be purchased separately???

It's on the Truimph site, in the 68 line.

I like em too. I just can't see spending that much right now.

I only need to carry my laptop to work. They aren't weekend bags.

Wow. Pricey for sure... and a bit "metro" for me.

Every since I have seen that picture of I forgot who's bike with the Cortech Sport Saddle Bags I have been self-convinced it is a great look.

For me personally, the leather saddle bags on the Bonnie have always seemed a bit out of place when I look at them. I tested the Cortech Saddle Bags (normal) this weekend to see if they would fit with my D&Ds and they fit fine with the strap going over the seat. I even think I have enough room to run them under the seat. Too bad Cycle Works wanted $170 for them when I can get the Nelson-Rigg Deluxe Saddle Bags for in the $80s.

Sorry for the rant...

Decent briefcases are pretty expensive. If you get a Mark Cross or a Bally or something like that, they are at least $400.

To the extent that this is quality brief bag, the price may not be that bad.

I think people are just waiting on the first person to take the leap and buy this bag due to all of the negative metrosexual etc. comments on earlier threads.

I couldn't care less about what anyone else thinks.

I just can't seem to scrape up the $800 to do both sides.

Besides, the only thing worse than getting passed, is getting passed by the metrosexual Thruxton.

I had the same idea so ordered one up but after ten weeks of waiting I canceled the order.

I wound up getting a set of the Triumph fabric bags and mounted just the left side. It was spit simple. The guard rail mounts no problem and the velcro on the strap that is supposed to hold it to the strap from the other side bag is facing down so just a peice of the opposite side velcro stuck to the top of the fender under the seat works perfectly.

The pair goes for less than the city bag did and they come with a waterproof cover, I was never sure if the city bag would be waterproof or not. Anyway, the setup is perfect for me.

By the way, I also rigged up some spacers to attach the guard rail to the right side as well so if I need more bag room I can mount both bags but the right side sticks out pretty far.

i've had mine on backorder for one side of the scrambler for a while now, since when they first came out. I would assume it mounts with the regular mounting hardware. btw i've had the tach on backorder even longer. i wonder why they have so few of these city bags b/c most people seem to think they're overpriced? Seems to me if they're gonna offer this stuff for sale, they should have at least some in stock!
