Too bad Convict!
At my advanced age I double- and triple-check to be sure I have my key in my pocket and not in the ignition. Good luck!

Don't do my trick.
Bumpstarting an XS1100 one time and after several attempts was going weak at the knees.
Thought I'd give it one last try, my legs wobbling and me barely able to breathe. The blooming thing started and as I had throttle open it took off with me hanging on laying down on the seat.
As I was being dragged I couldn't back off on the throttle so finally had to let go.
I rolled to a stop in time to watch the bike wobble down the road for a hundred metres then fall into the gutter, and stop!
Broken side cover, clutch lever, and a few scratches put it out of commission for a couple of days.
I never tried bump starting since.......
