I'll post this in the Rides forum, too...
At Caffeinated's prodding, I'm proposing a ride for the Denver area folks (or anyone else, if you're interested). July 3 looks good for a few of us (Caffeinated, Ridge), so I'll go with that.
Here's what I'm thinking:
Meet in the Home Depot parking lot on Colfax and 6 in Golden at 9:15 (I figure early is good to beat any weather). We'll go north briefly to 6, then head through Clear Creak Canyon (6) to I70. Hop on I70 for a very short bit and exit the Central City Parkway. Take that to Central City, stop for a break (if it's not too busy) and maybe lose a couple coins. From there, head up 119 to 72 and make our way down Coal Creek Canyon. If we didn't eat lunch in Central City, the we'll grab a bite at the Wondervu Cafe (I love that place). Keep going down 72 until we get to 93, then I suppose we part ways.
How does that sound? If we wanted to make it longer, we can decide near 72 then maybe keep going to 7 and come down through Lyons. I'd be happy to meet up earlier with anybody from the northern side for the ride to Golden.
PM me if interested.
