Never heard so much grousing over something so small since the last time we groused about something so small.

So, here's how reality works.

1. We were asked our opinions before the switch and were warned it was coming. Shawn didn't have to do that.

2. We are guests. Being here is a privledge, not a right.

3. We have the right to quit, take our football and go home.

4. Let's say 100 of us, those of us who think the world will stop dead without us, just up and quit.

Will we:

A. Show Shawn who is really right?
B. Prove that we are better than this *****.
C. Miss out on all the stuff we love to talk and learn about and the friends we like to post with?

And, will we hurt: (Pick ONE)

A. Shawn?
B. Mare?
C. Ourselves?

Finally, if the hundred very BEST members of Twin Talk were to up and walk out does anyone honestly think this place would miss a beat?; or that nobody else would possibly be as good, or smart, or clever, or provide useful advice and we do now?

Why don't we just go about the business of being good guests and make what we have work? It really doesn't matter what we had. This is what we have NOW. Live with it.

Monte

I like having an America/Speedy section. I've often been in the middle of threads only to discover they didn't apply to my bike. So... since I agree with you, am I one of the 100 best?

Sure you are! Trouble is that a lot of the guys who DON'T argee with me are also the very best, and those guys are the ones you and I really need to get on board making this thing work. We can't afford a long shake-down time during which some might get the idea that grousing and whining and complaining are the real reason we are sitting here at the computer most nights instead of watching, in my case, the Indians lose yet another ball game. :-D

Steve: When you showed up the other day sporting that Bonnie it brought back a lot of good memories from those days when we first signed up - you were only four months after me. There were very few of us and we had some great threads going, didn't we? I probably will always miss my Tbird and those guys over there but there are a bunch of great folks here that I have come to respect as well. You surely can play in this playpen and I think you will like it.

Still raining out there? From the frog drowning storms we've had here the last 12 hours I can't imagine that we didn't suck the air dry, for a change, out in the beautiful Pac NW.

When are you going to show us a pic of the new ride?

Monte

Back then you'd do a post and then wait a few days for a reply.. LOL

I'll try to get some pictures on tomorrow, rodburner stopped by yesterday and checked it out, his bike is looking pretty cool with all the work he's done on it. It's actually warming up here at last, supposed to get up to the 80's by sunday.

I absolutely love this web site! If they powers-that-be want to change it, good on them. I log in, read an amazing amount of information on a great hobby. I get expert, experienced help in regards to my Speedy. PLUS, I get to enjoy the exchange of ideas/thoughts/attitudes (sometimes heated) with people who share similar passions as I do, and all for FREE!
This site ROCKS and anything the owners do to change it is just fine by me. I have only benefitted from joining here, and will continue to participate. I'd even be willing to donate fundage to keep this site going.

Y'all have a Great Day!

Mike
