Did a 200 mile loop today including 30 miles of logging road. Impressed how the Scrambler handled riding on washboard and playing Dodge the Potholes. Great scenery, clouds of dust, (logging trucks were active), but had a blast.

Anybody else taken their Scrambler off pavement and their impressions? Oh yeah, gotta go clean my bike.....

Ain't it ironic though that Triumph would make such a statement on page 33 of the latest TORQUE magazine.

"Triumph does not endorse or encourage the use of Triumph motorcycles off-road"
I agree with them. The bike shakes and vibrates due to the 270 degree crankshaft. The bike will not wheelie no matter how hard you pull on the handlebars. I can't imagine dumping the front wheel into a stream crossing by not being able to get the front wheel up even slightly.
I say put the Thruxton or T100 engine in the bike for more HP and less vibration and shakes.

I own and absolutely love my new Scrambler, and I would not be afraid to do some off-road riding with it. It is capable for the off-road, in part due to its relatively light weight (as I am also a Harley owner), as long as I remember that it is not a true motorcrosser. I think it is just a great bike. Yesterday I had a dozen people, over 2 or 3 stops, admire the machine, and one old man stopped his car turn in the middle of an intersection just to take a look at the Scrambler as it sat in a parking lot.

Well... it seems that someone decided to dig up the old water lines along my favorite road and patched the holes in a manner consistent with installing speed bumps. Didn't notice ( my fault) until I came around the bend at about 50mph

Anyhow, the bike did GREAT. I didn't get up on the pegs in time for the first one but the rest were no problem. I know anything even close to the size of these things would have bottomed the Adventurer and been pretty painful.

Also decided to ride along some roads under contruction that I've been avoiding and they were just fine on the scrambler.

I don't have many off-road routes nearby but I'm starting to think about finding some.

No, it's not that old. Yes, they still make them. You did, really? The guy that stopped me ten minutes ago had one too.
