Anyone here using heel toe shift w/foot boards? Doesn't seem to be all that compatible, or is it me?

IMHO the Triumph is not suited for that set up, although it may be fine for the Rocket certainly not for the Bonnie. That set up was great on my Harley Heritage and Electra Glides. I would never consider for my Goldwing or Bonnie.

The heel toe shifter does not work well with the floorboards or for that matter with out boards. You can modify it by bending the back portion in to make it parallel to the shift rod and cut the rear (heel shift knob) knob down to about 3 rings of the rubber. You can also remove about 1/4" of metal from the "half moon" slot at the top of the slot to give more back postioning of the lever and then it is fine. It is a lot of trouble but if you like/enjoy the heel/toe shifter it workd great.

Brit26,
Great, glad you were succesful in the mod. I have done 7 of them I think, lost count. To me up shifting is quicker and more positive and you now have room on the board for your entire foot.
I also cut down the length of the front shift peg as it does not have to be as long as stock as your toe just pushes down on it now.

Can some one post a pic. I have been looking for some
kind of forward controls or maybe just some forward foot
rests. because some times on long trips my legs feel like
they are cramping up no me and, I walk a little funny when
I get off the bike.
