Without going through this entire list let me just ask you, if the shim puck is to thick and holding the valve open, how would you expect the engine to build compression? Vegas

Assumimg you are the original owner, I am VERY curious as to what Triumph will do to help you out even though you're beyond the warranty. What does your dealer say? I mean let's face it, you have a very extraordinary problem here.

Do keep us posted and good luck

i changed out the puck on first assembly to get the correct clearence. i fixed every problem i could find was very meticulous and clean about assembly even though cam bearings and journals are obviously shot. triple checked pistons, rings, bore, gaskets .....valves are sealing.......and yet poor compression in that cylinder..???? as for the dealership i have only inquired about parts cost,, have not brought this issue up since warranty is expired.

If the valve was open all of the time it more than likey came in contact with the top of the piston and is now bent. Bent valves do not seal real well. Vegas
