Stopped by sears tonight and saw taht the bike jacks are on sale for $79.00 untill the end of saturday the 27th. they look decent I think I will get one tomarrow. It would pay for itself just once when I don't knock the bike over doing some goofy maint.

I meant I would knock it over without it! Like trying to roll the bike with one hand while lubing the chain with the other hand.

I also have one....watch the oil filter when lifting. You don't want the weight of the bike on it. It will cause an expensive repair.

Just ran out and pick up the last one they had here. And put the bike up and gave my chain it first real cleaning. Love it, now I'm getting those gators I've always wanted.

Someone gave us a rusty old non-functioning Sears jack. I called Sears to see the cost of parts to get it operating. They said NO CHARGE. iSAID oooooK I used it today to do the chain routine .It works awesome (free too) Very sturdy & easy to use. Cant see how you can dammage the oil filter on a Bonneville tho? They make an aluminun one as well for those that have $$. Lighter but no better than the original as I can see? Check around You can find them used real reasonable! Or free????

Pep Boys has them for $45.00 I think. That is what I have. Works great. Looks like the same Chinese sweat shop stuff as all the others.

Can anyone direct me to a jack that will fit beneath my '04 TBA and clear the pipes? I measured the ground-to-frame clearance and it looks like 12". The jacks I've seen so far won't collapse low enough for me to place a wooden shim or something to keep the weight off the pipes.

I've covered a lot of back and forth miles in the driveway cleaning and lubing my chain and quite frankly, it's a pain in the butt!

2.5 cheers to the design group at Triumph for leaving out the center stand. :knkknk:

Checkers has em as well for 49 or 59, one of the two, and for all military, checkers, and pep boys both give a military discount, if you didnt already know that, more the reason not to get that expensive one at Sears.
