Just got a call from the dealer - my brand new T100 is ready to collect! Yah! Have to be tomorrow now - can't get there before they shut!
Only thing - they said they had to open BOTH doors of the van to get the bike out on account of the Norman Hyde western bars I had fitted! How wide are those things? Haven't seen 'em in the flesh - I mean metal!
It's raining cats 'n' dogs - so will be doing more polishing than riding for a while.
Other subject - got a hi-flow air filter today and jets kit. Is it better to wait until it's a bit run-in before fitting? I already have the TORs and mild rejet - so don't want to strain her! Comments....

BTW - it's a red 'n' black

Yahoo!!!!!!

Oh what a day you are going to have tomorrow Eagle

18th May 2005 I took the Direct Access course for my test and the weekend before my course they put my completed bike with all my accessories on it in the window of the showroom.

I had to walk past my bike on display several times a day for three days.

Then on the day of my test there was my bike on the showroom floor as I went out to take the test - an hour and a half later I came back and the staff wanted to know "does it go back in the window or not?"

An hour later I rode out of the shop on my brand new Bonnie T100 - What a day that was!!

That must have been quite stressful! I took my test in 1974 - the old fashioned way. In those days the plucky (stupid) examiner had to leap out in front of you to get you to do an emergency stop! There were many tales of the examiner leaping out in front of the wrong bike and getting run down!

Looking forward to tomorrow - even if it does rain all day. :-D

Actually it was a load of fun - kind of gave me a huge incentive to concentrate on learning so I could pass first time

waiting for the verdict after the test - THAT was stressful

Yay! It's now today - in fact this morning. Picked up my new T100 after a long wait at the shop - manager not turned up (I did a deal with him so had to wait!). Fantastic! And the huge Westerner bars are a hoot! Probably going a different direction than most with clip-ons and stuff - but I love 'em!
Now to fit some other bits..... hmm but have to do some riding first. See ya (much) later!
