Hey all. I saw the Bub Exhaust System on the BC New Triumph B'Ville Website and was wondering if anyone had them yet. Are they "LOUD"? And what does "Not DOT Approved" mean, because I've heard some pretty loud bikes around here (Harleys, for instance  JK, Harley riders!)

hey there onetuf,,, I have the bubs on mine,,, and it's a strange niose level,,, i would call it just below annoying, but people who are looking for something to complain about,, will. i love it,,, and when i ride with harleys i can't even hear my bike unless i'm in the upper revs,, at wich point, yes the bub is loud.... but,,, i can't stress the quality of the chrome enough,, and i don't like chrome,, but this chrome looks good,, if you have the ai removed, and are jetted properly for it, the headers that come with it will turn just beautiful slightly golden,(but still very chrommy) for about 6 inches,,,,, (im at thrux needle, 130 mains, one shim, airbox tottally gutted.) and i get enough power to slip my clutch. couldn't recommend it enough,, but i haven't heard preds

I got them too. They are nice....like a low growl. Not obnoxiously loud but enough to were I turn heads when I throttle. I had it jetted when I had them put on, feels like a totally dofferent bike. Get r done...... You won't regret it.
doc.

I will jump onboard. I too have the Bub's and the sound they make is so fine. Seems they are only LOUD when you crack the throttle. At moderate gas they sound excellent. I let a friend ride my bike around the other day and I could hear him through the hood, made me smile. They look a bit different with the funnel opening but if they are attractive to you the power and sound will not dissappoint.

Thanks for all the replies! They sound like a good set of pipes, and they're probably what I'll go for. I'll post something then...
